“…and then, I have nature and art and poetry, and if that is not enough, what is enough?” – Vincent Van Gogh
I don’t know how I’ve missed this painting along the way, but I saw it this week as part of the Van Gogh exhibit currently open at the Art Institute of Chicago. I love it – as I do most things he painted. I also find it incredibly relatable, like it’s scene I could find in my own home, or at a friend’s.
Another find while there: The Letters of Vincent Van Gogh. Van Gogh wrote a lot, to friends and family. He also had a great respect for the writers of his time – equating their art to his, and his contemporaries. Adding this to my TBR list.
